Chapter 73

What truly surprised Clara was that Julian brought her home. She had worked there for over a year and had never witnessed such a thing.

Julian glanced at Rosalie, his expression unreadable. After a brief silence, he unexpectedly said, "I've got it. You can leave."

"Got it, sir," Clara replied, barely concealing her excitement. She had no intention of overstaying her welcome; in fact, she practically sprinted out, carefully closing the door behind her.

Julian sat beside Rosalie, observing the woman who had been throwing a tantrum moments before. Now, she was curled up quietly on the bed, hugging her knees and ignoring the world.

Something about the sight amused him, a mixture of amusement and disbelief. He wondered if he had ever truly paid attention to Rosalie before. In just one night, from observing her with the Graham family to seeing her now—drunk, childish, and unexpectedly willful—he began to realize something…

This Rosalie was unlike the one he thought he knew. The Rosalie he knew had always been quiet, obedient, and hopelessly devoted. Aside from her lovestruck gaze, she had never done anything to truly capture his attention.

But tonight, she had shattered every preconception he held. Her outburst with the Graham family and her childish demeanor while drunk forced Julian to see her differently.

He didn't dwell on it long. Instead, he picked up the cup of hangover remedy, checked the temperature, and offered it to her.

He said in a low tone, "Wake up and drink this."

At the sound of his voice, Rosalie slowly lifted her head, blinking at him. For a second, her eyes flickered between confusion and familiarity, as if uncertain whether she knew him.

Then, without hesitation, she took the cup and obediently began drinking. She mumbled, "Thanks, Anya."

Julian simply stared, saying nothing. He wasn't sure if Rosalie was a "good drunk." She had been difficult earlier, but hadn't completely lost control. She just seemed different.

And now, quietly sipping her drink, she appeared almost too well-behaved.
