Chapter 153
Although divorce wouldn't affect her life, Rosalie didn't want to be entangled with Julian for a long time. Seeing that her words hadn't swayed him, and had instead made him more determined to avoid divorce, she decided on a stronger approach.
"I don't mind showing you, Mr. Galloway, of course. After all, the idea of having affairs during our marriage sounds quite thrilling," Rosalie said, her eyes bright with anticipation, which only further irritated Julian. It seemed she genuinely looked forward to it; her shining eyes made Julian increasingly uncomfortable and irritable.
"But there is one thing I need to remind you, Mr. Galloway. Your precious sweetheart has returned to the country, hasn't she? If you insist on not divorcing me, are you really willing to let her be known as your mistress and sneak around with you?"
Rosalie mentioned Roseanne at the opportune moment, hoping to leverage her to push Julian toward divorce. Roseanne wouldn't be content as a mistress, living in the shadows. Whether Julian's opposition stemmed from a deliberate desire to avoid divorce was irrelevant. Now that Roseanne was back, he wouldn't let her become his mistress, even if he wanted to; and Roseanne certainly wouldn't accept that role.
Rosalie thought mentioning Roseanne would surely change Julian's mind, but instead, he was stunned for a few seconds. Then, with a strange expression, he asked, "You're determined to divorce me because of Roseanne?"
Rosalie rolled her eyes internally and sneered. "Wasn't it because of Roseanne that you wanted to divorce me in the first place?" His ability to turn things around was truly impressive. After using her as a substitute for a whole year, he had the nerve to act innocent.
