Following Elyse's online revelation of the evidence, the next day brought the long-awaited investigation results from the Celestial Sounds Symphony, along with the welcome news of her imminent return to rehearsal the following day.

Elyse's recent gloom instantly dissipated. With renewed vigor, she descended the stairs, smiled at Driscoll, and said, "I'll be heading to rehearsal tomorrow."

Driscoll's face lit up. "That's wonderful! Shall we celebrate with cake?"

"Yes, please! And hot cocoa," Elyse replied eagerly. She had a penchant for sweet treats when joyful.

Driscoll nodded, smiled, and disappeared into the kitchen to prepare refreshments.

Seated comfortably on the sofa, Elyse messaged Jayden the good news. Receiving no immediate reply, she assumed he was busy.

The treats were quickly prepared, and soon Elyse was enjoying a delectable spread and a steaming mug of hot cocoa.

Her tranquility was interrupted by a call from Darren. "Congratulations on clearing your name!" Darren's laughter echoed through the phone. "You sound happy."

"I just heard something funny," Darren said. "Freddy tried to steal the surveillance video, thinking Rebekah had a copy. He was going to sacrifice himself! But he ran away when he saw her—he's terrified of her."

Elyse was surprised. "Why didn't Freddy tell me about his plan?"

Darren replied casually, "I'm not sure, but he's fine. Just a bit fragile after everything."

Elyse laughed, then asked, "What about Rebekah's punishment?"

Darren's tone turned serious. "She's facing termination. She crossed several lines."

A complex mix of emotions washed over Elyse upon hearing of Rebekah's dismissal. Reflecting, she said, "I remember Rebekah's talent. We joined the orchestra together, and her performance was impressive."

Darren said seriously, "Our orchestra is full of talent. Rebekah's initial performance was dazzling, but it was fleeting. In a community of exceptional musicians, she was always going to fade into the background."

Elyse sighed, unsure how to respond, and changed the subject.

After talking with Darren, her phone rang—Cody. She realized it was seven days since their last meeting. Slightly nervous, she answered, "Mr. Tucker, I completely forgot! Have you been waiting long?"

Cody was reassuring and understanding. "Don't be nervous. I understand about the recent online events. Take your time. We can reschedule."

Elyse was touched by his understanding and patience. He was like a compassionate instructor, always supportive.

He continued, "Also, I listened to the instrumental versions of your songs. You're remarkably talented. Make sure you register the copyright for your original compositions."

Elyse was unaware of music copyright. She was grateful for his advice.

Cody teased, "Your music is truly unique, and your skills surpass many others. But let's not get too big-headed, shall we?"

Elyse's excitement soared. After the call, she excitedly asked Driscoll for more dessert.
