Chapter 19:
The next morning, Elyse was awakened from a deep sleep by a maid. โItโs time to get up and get ready,โ the maid announced.
Elyse pulled the covers over her head. โItโs so early! Iโm not the bride. Why should I have to do this?โ
โMr. Owen says itโs your first public appearance as his wife. You must look stunning,โ the maid explained.
Elyse was reluctant to comply. Seeing her resistance, the maid lifted the covers and said apologetically, โIโm sorry. According to the schedule, you must take a rose bath now.โ

Captivated by the scene, Driscoll discreetly snapped a photo with his phone. They truly seemed like the perfect couple. Their evident love led him to believe they would soon be expecting a child.
โItโs time to go,โ Jayden said, checking his watch. He took Elyseโs hand and they left the room, the epitome of a perfectly synchronized couple.
Xanderโs wedding had been hastily planned, with invitations sent out at the last minute. Luckily, the familyโs wealth and influence ensured a smoothly organized event.
Luxury cars lined up at the entrance of the Grandeur Hotel. The arriving guests, all wealthy or influential, were dressed in their finest attire.
At that moment, an understated Lincoln stretch limousine pulled up to the hotel entrance. The lobby manager promptly approached and stood respectfully by the car door.
