“Kalie will not refuse if Sophia offers herself,” Odalys said. “I just want them tied together.”

Percival listened quietly as she analyzed. “You want Sophia to draw out Quinton!” he concluded.

Odalys chuckled and nodded. “Exactly. Edie has been making all the moves, but Quinton has never appeared. She’s not even in contact with the Simpson family.”

“It’s not hard to see Edie’s agenda behind those posthumous marriages last night. The Simpsons probably don’t know about it. Posthumous marriages are like ghost soldiers women use; Edie is perhaps trying to build her power base.”

“She married into the Stewart family. After your father’s accident, she used her network to elevate the Simpson family, which should have been beyond her control these years. That’s why she’s set her sights on Henry. Her choice of the Bennett family over the Stewarts seems a misunderstanding. “That’s right,” Odalys agreed, nodding. She rose to leave. “It’s probably not time yet. The Bennett brothers are reluctant to let Sophia marry you. They simply think you might die soon and don’t want her widowed.”

“But Hannah is different. She abandoned me initially and chose Sophia! Her thinking differs from those three Bennett brothers. She keeps Sophia not only because she raised her but also because Sophia remains useful. Otherwise, how could she forgive Sophia, even reconcile after Sophia seduced Windsor, causing his divorce?”

Orson, unable to contain himself longer, chuckled. “The Bennetts are weird,” he said, holding back laughter.

Odalys added, “And Hannah knew about Sophia’s use of the love spell. Everything Sophia did was under Hannah’s nose. Hannah allowed it.”

“Everything Sophia is doing is still within Hannah’s control?”

Percival’s eyes narrowed. He followed her train of thought. “In other words, Hannah’s victim image might be an act. Everyone targeted the Bennett family, but no one treated her as an enemy. Even I never included her in my plans, despite dealing with the Bennett Group. Everyone saw her as a housewife; she could easily clear her name even if something happened.”

Orson suddenly slapped the table. “Damn it, I remember now! When Sophia bought the love spell, Hannah had people follow Odalys and even live-streamed it! They broadcast Sophia with the fake magician, ruining her reputation!”

At that time, everyone saw the Bennett brothers causing trouble but overlooked Hannah; she was just a housewife. No one paid attention to her.

“Ruin her. Leave her with no way out! And as for the marriage to dispel sorrow, Hannah forced you to be a surrogate bride. She wanted to keep Sophia by her side. Does she want to control everything about Sophia, worried she’ll be out of control after she leaves the Bennett family?” Percival spoke up.

Odalys smiled and nodded. “That’s why she made a fuss but kept Sophia even after what happened with Windsor. She’s still playing the victim.”

“It seemed Brandon was threatening her, but he ultimately moved into Bennett Villa. Could she lure someone else into the game, including Oliver? She used the necklace I gave her to lure him in. She seems to have done nothing, but in fact, she has done everything.”

Orson listened, silently clutching his chest, feeling naive for never doubting Hannah.

Odalys continued, “Breaking Windsor’s plan today and letting Sophia see Finn die was meant to force her into a corner. Only when Sophia panics will Hannah panic! Otherwise, it’s all for naught.”

Odalys said, “Yes, I want to see why Hannah and Edie turned against each other. Moreover, Brandon’s children’s line is fixed in the Bennett family. I said before Brandon seemed to have no descendants, but he kept trying to revive his ancestors. However, he works so hard to pave the way for whom?”

Orson shivered. “Brandon’s son is in the Bennett family? Isn’t it just Atlas, Caspian, Henry, and Sophia? Aren’t they all Hannah and Windsor’s children?”
