Chapter 262

Francis lunged forward, and the people waiting in line for Star readings surged ahead, quickly overpowering the man attempting to flee. He reached for his phone, but Freya swiftly intervened, stomping on his hand to stop him. Selah then picked up his dropped phone, ending the unsent call.

The suddenness of the event startled some onlookers. "Oh my God, Stellan, Freya, Francis, and Selah are all here? Are these big stars helping Odalys? They must really be close! Their appearance fees start at hundreds of thousands of dollars!" someone exclaimed incredulously.

Even these celebrities were assisting Odalys in apprehending a criminal suspect. Many immediately pulled out their phones to record the scene. Freya quickly intervened, saying, "Don't post any videos online. Right now, it's a matter of life and death. Cordelia came for a Star reading. The police were en route, and this man was watching her. Posting that video could endanger her daughter."

Those about to upload videos froze, hastily putting their phones away. Soon, someone found a news report. The address matched the one Odalys had mentioned earlier.

"Hello, everyone. The police just busted a human trafficking ring. In the basement at 23 Zurian Road, 23 young girls were being held captiveโ€”all from the recent missing persons list," the reporter announced.

The news caused a sensation. No one expected Odalys's casual remark to be so impactful.

Cordelia, looking at the news and her vibrating phone, answered the policeโ€™s call and put it on speakerphone. "Hello, we've found your daughter. She's en route to the hospital. Please come as soon as possible. Also, please thank Ms. Stone for us," the officer said.

The officer's words stunned everyone. Overcome with emotion, Cordelia repeatedly bowed to Odalys, trembling and weeping. "Thank you thank you, Odalys, truly, thank you. You saved my daughter, you saved my whole family. She's my only child. If anything happened to her, I don't know what I would do. Thank you, thank you so much," she cried, her voice breaking.

Many parents were moved by her heartfelt expression of gratitude. Cordelia tried to offer money, but Odalys refused.

"Everyone who helped apprehend the trafficker can receive a free Star reading anytime, just present your sign-up number," Odalys said, handing over a sign-up sheet.

Those who had bravely intervened were astonished by this unexpected good fortune and eagerly accepted the offer.

Odalys then addressed the second and third people in line: "You should go to the hospital. Like Mrs. Blythe, you're searching for your children. They've been found and are on their way to the hospital."

Stunned, they barely had a chance to react before Odalys seemingly anticipated their situation. "How did you know?" they asked, surprised.

As if on cue, they each received a call from the police, clutching their phones tightly. What had seemed improbable now felt like undeniable truth. After thanking Odalys, they left.

Those waiting for a spectacle silently departed. Fans crowded around, offering flowers, sensing the sanctity of the moment. As they prepared to leave, they each received a gift bag.

The area was initially bustling, but within half an hour, the crowd dispersed, leaving an eerie quiet.

"Is it over already?" Selah asked, gazing at the spotless area outside. There wasn't a scrap of trashโ€”only the flower bouquets near the door, making it seem untouched.

"Yes, it's over," Odalys replied, stretching with a smile. Selah and Francis, expecting hard work, felt dazed by the ease of the resolution.

"I told you about the resource exchange. You'll both have work soon," Odalys said, smiling. Her phone buzzed with a message. "Alright, fine," she said, hanging up.

She gestured, and Selah and Francis stepped forward. Odalys wrote a note and handed it to them. "One of the top three people in line is the head of an entertainment company. They just saw their child at the hospital and, to express gratitude, are offering us access to an S-level drama project. Choose any role, even the lead," she added.

The boss immediately emailed the script, which Odalys forwarded to Selah and Francis. Freya and Stellan gasped upon seeing it. "So many people are vying for this script. I heard it's high-quality and award-winning," Freya stated.

"Ah, Odalys, I love you!" Selah exclaimed, hugging Odalys. Francis, a model who had acted previously, tightly gripped the script. Many doubted his acting career, but his first project was unexpectedly an S-level production, all thanks to Odalys. He hadn't realized the extent of her connections.

"We're done for the day. Shall we eat?" Odalys asked.

Stellan immediately volunteered, "I'll choose the place!"

"You all go ahead. I'll join you soon," Odalys replied. Selah wanted to wait, but Freya persuaded her to leave. After they departed, Odalys locked up and was about to leave when Atlas suddenly appeared, blocking her path.

"Odalys!" he stormed, his expression dark. Seeing her energized, he felt unsettled. The Bennett family had been in chaos. Sophia had gone missing, Henry had been ill, and yet Odalys's business was booming. Twitter was flooded with news about her, with shares and comments in the billions. Her popularity far surpassed any combination of top stars.

Atlas couldn't understand her inexplicable appeal. "What's going on? Do you need something from me?" Odalys asked coldly, having anticipated his approach and sent the others away.

Finding his anger amusing, Odalys stepped forward, causing Atlas to instinctively retreat. The Bennetts were attractive but not very intelligent, she mused, particularly regarding Sophia and her foolish admirers.

"Sophia went missing last night. Were you involved? Did you have someone kidnap her?" Atlas demanded angrily.

Odalys laughed, stepping closer, forcing Atlas to take another step back.
