"Boom!"
Su Chen's words crashed over Basha like a tidal wave, sending a shiver down his spine and twisting his face into an ugly expression.
Su Chen was right: in a duel between experts, remaining calm was crucial; victory or defeat often hung by a thread. If his opponent had been a true master, he would already be dead.
"Who exactly are you?" Basha asked, his voice hoarse as he forced himself to regain composure, overwhelmed by the young man's skill.
"The person who will send you to your grave today." A cold smile spread across Su Chen's face.
"Good, let's see if you have the ability!" Basha fiercely stomped the ground and charged toward Su Chen like an enraged beast, leaving a faint crack in the concrete. As he neared, he threw a punch straight at Su Chen's face. The punch was formidable, tearing through the air as if it could shatter the void.
Confronting this tiger-killing blow, Su Chen didn't dodge. He leisurely raised an arm and extended it toward Basha's chest. Seeing this, Basha hastily lifted his other arm, trying to block Su Chen's attack, while his punch continued unstoppably, already less than twenty centimeters from Su Chen's face.
However, Su Chen's arm suddenly slithered like an eel, creepily sliding over the top of Basha's arm. At the same time, his hand moved with incredible speed, its target shifting from Basha's chest to his throat!
Terror flashed across Basha's face. How was this possible? He tried to retreat, withdrawing his punch. But it was too late. He had only managed to pull his punch halfway and step back half a step when he felt a tight grip around his throat.
Basha was enveloped in shock. How had Su Chen done it? The moves were bizarrely unpredictable, especially the sudden changes in direction and speed. It defied all logic!
The audience, who had been shouting just moments before, suddenly fell silent, staring blankly at the fighting platform, their minds blank.
Wasn't Basha ferociously attacking a moment ago? How had that young man seized Basha's neck in the blink of an eye? What exactly was going on? The onlookers gazed at one another, their faces full of bewilderment.
Pei Song, witnessing this scene, was completely dumbfounded. This guy had actually won, but it felt like he hadn't even seen him make a move!
Yunlong at his side was even more excited. He had believed that Su Chen could win, but he had never imagined it would be this easy, almost effortless.
"Now do you believe what I said?" Su Chen asked mockingly, the smile at the corner of his mouth growing even thicker.
In terms of martial arts cultivation, Su Chen might still have some rivals to fear, but when it came to close combat, he dared to compete with anyone in the world. He had purely used fighting techniques, without utilizing any cultivation.
Although Basha appeared formidable, he had a clear weakness: his right leg had been injured, slowing his momentary movement speed. Even though Su Chen had pointed this out, Basha was unable to avoid it.
Hearing Su Chen's words, Basha showed sheer terror, for Su Chen had said that killing him would take only one move.
"Alright, now you can go on your way in peace," Su Chen said indifferently, and was about to finish Basha off.
"Wait!" a panicked voice rang out.
Su Chen turned his head to look down from the platform and saw the manager of the boxing ring, Lai Jie.
"Sir, please do me a favor and let Basha off," Lai Jie pleaded softly, as Basha was their money-maker.
Su Chen shook his head with a smile.
"Young Master Pei, would you please tell your friend to show some mercy?" Lai Jie hastily approached Pei Song.
Pei Song didn't want things to escalate, given that this was the property of the Su Family, so he stood up and said, "Mr. Su, please let Basha go."
Su Chen still smiled, shook his head slightly, and with a slight twist of his hand, a clear sound of bone cracking was heard. Then, he casually threw Basha's corpse onto the stage.
The crowd was shocked. Even with the joint plea from Lai Jie and Pei Song, this young man had resolutely killed Basha! It must be known that behind Lai Jie was Su Can, the second young master of the Su Family, and Pei Song was the second young master of the Pei Family!
Wasn't this publicly slapping those two men in the face? More severely, this was slapping the faces of both families!
When Pei Song saw Su Chen kill Basha, his expression immediately became unsightly.
Lai Jie, even more enraged, clenched his teeth and coldly said, "Mr. Su, do you know the consequences of what you have done?"
"What consequences? Aren't the rules of your boxing ring that once on the stage, you are at the mercy of life and death?" Su Chen said indifferently, then tore a hole in the iron fence with both hands and crawled out.
The crowd was even more startled, thinking that this guy's strength was way too great!
Lai Jie, his eyes nearly spewing flames as he watched Su Chen, had nothing to say. These were the rules they had set.
After crawling out, Su Chen walked up to Yunlong, took the betting slip, and smiled faintly, "This is the betting slip my friend just placed. According to the odds, your boxing ring should pay us six hundred billion. Please cash it immediately."
The crowd was startled! Indeed, he had won earlier, and the person who bet five billion should receive six hundred billion based on the odds. The crowd wondered if the second young master of the Su Family would pay.
"Your boxing ring isn't planning on reneging, is it?" Su Chen asked, looking at Lai Jie with a smile.
"Of course not. We deal with integrity in our boxing ring, and you won't miss any money that belongs to you!" Lai Jie wouldn't admit publicly that they were reluctant to pay.
"That's best, then please make the payment," Su Chen said nonchalantly.
"Alright, please follow me to the boss's office," Lai Jie said, managing to suppress his anger, as there were so many people watching.
"Sure, lead the way." Su Chen's face still bore a faint smile.
"Manager Lai, I will join as well," Pei Song also stood up and said. Although he was a bit annoyed by Su Chen's disregard, since he was the guest his grandfather had instructed him to take good care of, he decided to follow along to avoid any mishaps.
"Then please, Young Master Pei," Lai Jie said after a moment of thought.
Subsequently, under Lai Jie's guidance, several people walked into an office located on the second basement level. The office was rather large, occupying sixty or seventy square meters.
Upon seeing Pei Song enter, the young man inside stood up and gave a hearty laugh, "Having Young Master Pei grace our presence is an honor indeed!"
"You are too kind, Young Master Su," Pei Song said, returning the smile.
"Young Master Pei, I am aware of the situation. Since the two are your friends, let's pretend this never happened. I will return the five billion original amount to your friend and add another billion, how does that sound?" Su Can directly said. If it weren't for Pei Song's connection, it would have been impossible for him to spit out the original five billion, let alone add another billion.
"Thank you, that would be best. This was just a joke anyway," Pei Song said. He also thought this was the best outcome. Getting Su Can to pay six hundred billion was utterly impossible.
