Chapter 83
"What the hell is going on?" "Have you two gone crazy?" "Stop this, Hans, Sam!"
Zach and Calvin each grabbed one of them.
"Hansel, calm down!" Calvin exclaimed. "Sam, stop this insanity! Why are you fighting? Can't you talk it out?" Zach asked.
"Let go!" Hansel and Sam shouted in unison.
Seeing that the two men still wanted to fight, Calvin and Zach knew they couldn't release them.
"Tell me what's going on," Zach said, his gaze flitting between them. "Whatever it is, let's talk it out. We're all friends. Don't ruin the friendship," Calvin added, attempting to mediate.
Zach continued, "Hans, today is Sam's birthday. No matter how big the issue is, you can bring it up another day."
Sam wiped blood from his mouth. His gaze swept over Hansel's furious face, and he smirked. "I meant what I said, and I made this decision after much thought. You have no right to interfere."
He turned and approached Miranda, whose face was pale and expressionless. Taking off his jacket, he gently draped it over her shoulders. "Are you alright? That must have been frightening. I'll send you home."
Calvin and Zach's eyes widened. They were so shocked they were speechless.
What was going on? they wondered. Was this why Hansel had gone crazy?

Miranda snapped back to reality. She stared at Sam's outstretched hand and blatantly sidestepped it, removing the jacket and returning it to him.
"That's not necessary. I can go home myself. Please don't drag me into your business. I'm not a toy for you two to fight over. Also," Miranda said emphatically, "don't contact me again."
She addressed both Sam and Hansel, who stood some distance away.
"Mimi…" Sam muttered, looking down. "I'm sorry. All this happened because I wasn't thinking clearly. For causing you so much trouble, I'll make things up to you—"
"If you really want to make things up to me, then stay away from me."
Initially confused, dumbfounded, and aggrieved, Miranda had calmed down. She knew she was innocent. Sam had acted rashly, causing Hansel to become violent. She didn't want to feel guilty or ashamed. She just wanted to be rid of the trouble these two men had caused.
However, Sam wouldn't easily give up. He had gone to great lengths to spend time with her. He'd finally broken through, and he wouldn't let her escape so easily.
"Mimi, you can choose to reject me, but I have the right to pursue you."
Miranda was speechless. Did he think this drama wasn't already enough?
Naturally, Hansel's face darkened.
"Sam, are you pretending I'm dead?"
Sam shrugged. "You already beat me up and cursed me out. It's time you accepted reality."
"You guys can continue talking. I'm leaving," Miranda said, turning to walk away.
However, Sam didn't let her. He ran after her and tried to grab her shoulder.
