Chapter 1061

The group made their way back to Rosary Estates.

"Hey, my man, youโ€™re finally back!" Benny grinned, giving Jonathan a big bear hug and patting him on the shoulder. "Looking even more dashing."

Teresa asked Benny, "How is Felix doing?"

"Rockyโ€”Rock is doing greatโ€”no more fever. Your nanny just left, and heโ€™s asleep now."

Jonathan let go of Benny and headed to the room to check on Felix. Felix was fast asleep, so Jonathan resisted the urge to pick him up. Instead, he gently stroked Felixโ€™s head and little face.

Jonathan thought to himself, โ€˜He used to be just a tiny bundle in the incubator, and there was a time I thought he might not make it. But now, heโ€™s grown so much. Life is a miracle.โ€™

"Dad, now that youโ€™re back, are you going to leave on business trips?" Michael bounced over to Jonathan, full of energy as he asked.

"No, Iโ€™m not leaving again. Iโ€™ll be here with you guys," Jonathan promised warmly. Jonathan thought to himself, โ€˜Whether itโ€™s Michael or Felix, how could I not worry about my sons and what theyโ€™ve been through in Nareigh?โ€™

"Youโ€™re really not leaving?" Teresa blurted out.

Jonathan turned around, locking eyes with Teresa. She looked away, a little embarrassed. She couldnโ€™t hide that small surge of happinessโ€”thatโ€™s why she blurted it out.

Jonathan repeated, "Yeah, Iโ€™m not going anywhere. Iโ€™ll be staying in Nareigh at least until New Yearโ€™s Day."

"Yay! Thatโ€™s great." Michael latched onto Jonathanโ€™s leg. "Dad, I love you!"

Jonathan couldnโ€™t help but smile as he scooped Michael up into his arms. He loved Michael, too.

Of course, he owed his son an apology. Jonathan felt bad for not picking up Michaelโ€™s calls before. He knew it had made the boy sad, and he just hoped Michael could forgive him.

"I know. Iโ€™m not mad at you anymore," Michael said, grinning widely and showing off his little white teeth as he snuggled up to Jonathanโ€™s neck.

"Guys, Gary and I are gonna head out now. We wonโ€™t bother you guys any longer," Benny said, getting ready to leave with Gary.

"Iโ€™ll walk you out," Teresa offered, heading to the door. Jonathan followed, still holding Michael. Muffin waved his little hand, saying goodbye to the two of them.

"Iโ€™ll treat you two to dinner another day," Jonathan said. He thought to himself, "They did a lot for us and helped so much."

Benny chuckled, "Come on, no need." Then he turned to Michael and teased, "Michael was crying and asking me if you had a new son. I told him he was new too. Not old at all." The adults all burst out laughing at that.

Teresa watched from the side, a small smile tugging at her lips.

Michael, feeling a bit shy, buried his face in Jonathanโ€™s shoulder. "Bunny, stop teasing me."

Jonathan gently patted Michaelโ€™s head to comfort him. "See? Bunnyโ€™s right. Youโ€™re just as new. Donโ€™t worry, I only have you and your little brotherโ€”just the two of you."

Michael looked up. "Dad, are you gonna have any more kids?"

Jonathan didnโ€™t answer, just glanced at Teresa, who cleared her throat, thinking, โ€˜Whyโ€™s he looking at me?โ€™

Gary chuckled and said, "Come on, letโ€™s go. Letโ€™s not get in the way of their family time." With that, Benny and Gary left.

Suddenly, Felixโ€™s cries echoed from the room.

"Iโ€™ll go check on him," Jonathan said, heading over to pick up the baby. Turned out Felix wet his diaper, so Jonathan changed him and gently rocked the little guy in his arms.

Miraculously, Felix drifted off to sleep in no time. That tiny bundle just nestled right up against his dadโ€™s shoulder. Jonathan was getting better and better at holding his little one.

Teresa walked over and asked, "Is he hungry? Do you want me to hold him instead?"
