Chapter 79

“You… you, what else do you want?”

“A class of murderers. A bunch of devils who only know how to answer examination questions.”

Emma asked declaratively, “You thought I didn’t hear you?”

“Apologize to the class!”

Emma’s aura commanded respect, even though she hadn’t done anything. A loud voice from her was enough to intimidate the students. She needed to force an apology. Their unwillingness to comply was evident.

“What’s wrong with not apologizing? So what if your class excels academically?”

“It’s not a big deal,” Emma replied, “but a mistake is a mistake.”

The principal intervened, “Hurry up and apologize! Otherwise, I’ll send the video I just recorded to the school board, and Class 2 will be severely punished at next week’s flag-raising ceremony!”

The Class 2 students gritted their teeth. “We don’t care!”

“You can ignore it, but your punishment will ruin Class 2’s reputation and humiliate all of you. Everyone will remember that you were defeated by us!”

The clamor ceased. These students feared humiliation more than punishment. Finally, one stepped forward, bowing. “I’m sorry!”

Silence followed. Emma raised an eyebrow. “What about the rest of you? Keep going. Everyone participated in attacking our class.”

Chapter 75

Emma insisted on individual apologies. After a while, a second student walked up. “I’m sorry!” “Classmates of Class One, I’m sorry…”

More than ten troublemakers soon bowed and apologized at the entrance of Class 1. Students from other classes gathered to watch. The Class 2 students' expressions worsened, but under Emma's pressure, they continued to apologize.

Emma's classmates, outwardly calm, were overwhelmed with emotion. They hadn't expected such obedience from the Class 2 hooligans. Emma was powerful, their goddess.

“Now that you realize your mistake, don’t ever embarrass yourselves by coming to our class again!”

“Apologize to Emma!”

“Yes! Apologize to Emma!”

“Emma, I’m sorry…”

“Emma, I shouldn’t have said that just now…”

More onlookers arrived. Finally, the last Class 2 student apologized, and they all fled.

After school, the class monitor proposed a weekend party at the clubhouse to celebrate Emma's return. Emma, unwilling to disappoint her classmates, informed Liam. “I have a class party tonight. I might be back late. Don’t worry.”

“Okay, but give me the addresses and contact information of your classmates.”

Chapter 79

Emma pouted. “Why? Are you worried about me?”

“I’m concerned about you.”

Liam’s calm voice, punctuated by background office noises, suggested a busy meeting. He had just returned to headquarters after a hectic few days. Yet, he immediately answered Emma's call, his tone doting and patient.

Emma’s heart swelled. “Alright, I’ll send you an email later. Oh, by the way, I have one more request…”

“Yes?”

Emma smiled sheepishly. “Can I have some wine tonight?”

Liam’s rules forbade her drinking outside his sight, but she’d already called. He considered it. “You can have some beer, 100 ml.”

Emma thought, What? 100 ml? Beer? She’d previously drunk several bottles of liquor. Even Josiah almost laughed.

“Boss, you drank vodka freely on snowy missions! If Mr. Hall knew this, he'd be devastated!”

Emma glared. “You’re a big mouth!” She’d drunk for warmth, not recreation.

“Don’t call unless it’s important. End the call.”

Emma usually kept in contact with Josiah, but she planned to relax and enjoy the night.

Chapter 79 (Continued)

“Hey, Boss, don’t…”

Josiah's protest was cut short as Emma hung up. She and her classmates took a taxi to the clubhouse, which boasted swimming pools, KTVs, board games, and more. A few classmates had just arrived when several sports cars pulled up.

“What’s going on? Are there others here tonight?”

The speaker, clad in leather, sported diamond-studded or riveted shoes. It was Class 2, dressed far differently than in their school uniforms.

Their leader cursed. “Damn it! How can my territory be occupied by others?”

“There are no cars at the entrance. I wonder where these people came from!”

“Come on, let’s go in and chase them out!”

Class 2’s hooliganism continued outside school; ignoring reservations or the first-come, first-served rule, they stormed in yelling, “This place is ours tonight!”

“We’ll pay double the booking fee! Get out now!”

Emma recognized the students from the neighboring class.

“What’s wrong with you guys? We booked this place first!”

“Who cares about your money? Get lost!”

The Class 1 students, enjoying themselves moments before, were furious.

The hooligans sneered. “Who are you telling to get out?”

“See those luxury cars? They’re ours! You country bumpkins haven’t seen the world. Need money? I’ll give you three times! Ten times! You poor students!”

Their arrogance intensified after school. Vark College students typically came from wealthy families, but Emma's classmates were civilized. They were unsure how to handle them.

Emma, playing a murder mystery game, glanced downstairs at the commotion. Recognizing Class 2, she calmly descended.

“You were bowing in fear at school, but you’re causing trouble again at night, right?”
