Listen to this chapter:

John rushed back into the physics classroom, breathless. "Yve, something happened!"

Bonnie, roused from a fitful nap by Ruby's piano playing and then John's outburst, rubbed her messy hair. "What's going on? Weren't you supposed to be in the physics office helping the teacher?"

Yvette, lazily leaning against a chair with her legs on the windowsill, casually typed on her phone: [The game is too easy. Redo it.]

Meanwhile, in Betrico, a young man with a charming baby face, cute dimples, and large black-rimmed glasses sat at a table strewn with unopened lunchboxes and papers covered in messy markings. His phone lit up; he read the message, a pang of disappointment following. 'As I expected, Boss isn't impressed with my designs,' he thought, resuming his work.

After sending her message, Yvette glanced at the newly arrived John, her expression unchanged. "What's going on?"

John produced a piece of paper. "Yve, look at this. Your name is on this list."

Yvette examined the paper. The bold letters read: [20th Art Festival Participant List].

Bonnie leaned in. "So what? You know Yve's participating. Why the surprise? Didn't you bet on her to win? What's so interesting about this?"

John shook his head. The list wasn't just problematic; it was a major issue. "Take a closer look at the event listed after Yve's name."

Bonnie's eyes widened. Disbelieving, she rubbed her eyes. "Y-Yve, when did you sign up for four events?"

Yvette glanced at the list, her expression calm but her eyes darkened slightly. "It's not me."

Bonnie and John knew Yvette hadn't signed up herself. Someone was trying to embarrass her. They both said simultaneously, "Ruby."

Yvette nodded faintly. "Yes. Probably her."

Bonnie, furious, rolled up her sleeves. "Where are you going?" Yvette asked.

Bonnie was so angry she almost swore. "Yve, Ruby has gone too far! I'm going to talk to Mr. Sunderland. This is unfair! Does Ruby think she runs the student council?"

John, equally outraged, agreed. "We can't ignore this. I overheard people saying you're overestimating yourself. The forum about you entering four events is going viral. Let's go talk to Mr. Sunderland."

Bonnie was surprised. "John, the forum? How did the news spread so quickly?"

John looked frustrated. "The student council posted it on the school forum. It's the top post now."

Several classmates overheard and immediately checked the forum. The top post read: [Art Festival Highlights (The Physics Departmentโ€™s Campus Beauty Yvette Signs Up for Four Events)]. Over a thousand comments followed.

Bonnie exclaimed, "Yve, how can you be so calm? Let's remove your name!"

Yvette, gazing out the window, shook her head. "No need. Just let her have her way."

Bonnie and John, stunned but respectful, said, "Yve, we believe in you."

Ryan, hearing the news, rushed in, only to hear Yvette's calm voice. He froze. Since she already knew, he needed to do nothing.

Yvette turned and smiled. Bonnie, secretly glancing at Yvette, sensed Ruby's schemes might backfire.

As Yvette's ardent fan, Bonnie was confident Yvette would impress everyone at the Art Festival. 'She might unlock a new skill... or four,' she thought, slightly worried.

Bonnie devised ways to support Yvette. Her enthusiastic support on competition day shocked everyone.

Bonnie fell asleep soundly. In the darkness, Yvette stood on the balcony, the moonlight illuminating her. She rubbed her temples, her eyes bloodshot, recalling a nightmare of blood and violence. A phone rang, pulling her back. "Hello. It's me, Jeremiah."
